Agree with Heather - you SHOULD be pleased with it. Lovely piece of work - what's the medium? I can usually tell, but this could be pastel, oil, or acrylic (go on, tell me it's watercolour and I shall certainly feel a fool!). Whatever it is, I love its depth, and the fact that the boy is part of the painting, rather than dominating it completely.

"Mummy, look, i can see baby fishes here !". For your title perhaps? Lovely work. The bracken, foliage, old construction etc realistic to the core. The child adds value.
